The 2021 eCommerce index clearly reflects the distance between localities. From the goal of developing sustainable e-commerce towards 2025 e-commerce develops evenly and closes the gap between the two central cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with the rest of the provinces. The role of human resources is further affirmed, requiring great investment attention of state agencies and organizations to promote the training of knowledgeable and skilled human resources in e-commerce applications, thereby serving e-commerce promotion activities in many provinces and cities.

The Vietnam E-commerce Association would like to thank all agencies, organizations, businesses and individuals for helping to develop this E-Commerce Index Report. Many Departments of Industry and Trade, including An Giang, Bac Lieu, Bac Ninh, Ben Tre, Ca Mau, Can Tho, Da Nang, Dong Nai, Gia Lai, Hanoi, Ha Tinh, Hai Phong, Hoa Binh, Lam Dong, Lao Cai, Long An, Nghe An, Phu Tho, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, Yen Bai have enthusiastically supported the survey of e-commerce implementation of businesses in the locality way.
